A MidMods float is built to last — but a little care goes a long way. Here's everything you need to know to keep yours in perfect shape.
Inflation
Use an electric pump or hand pump with a standard valve nozzle. Inflate until firm but not rock hard — you want a little give. Never over-inflate in direct sunlight as heat expands air and can stress the seams.
After each use
Rinse with fresh water to remove chlorine and sunscreen residue. Both can break down PVC over time if left sitting. A quick rinse takes 30 seconds and adds years to your float's life.
Storage
Deflate completely before storing. Fold loosely — never crease the same spot repeatedly. Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. The box your float came in is perfect for storage.
Cleaning
For stubborn sunscreen marks use a mild soap and soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or anything with bleach. A little baby oil on a cloth will restore shine to the PVC surface.
Saltwater pools
MidMods floats are safe for saltwater pools. Just make sure to rinse thoroughly after each use.
